“The Gdynia City Museum has been presenting the Polish Design Polish Designers exhibition series for many years. It is our way of promoting Polish design, inspiring people, and encouraging creativity and innovation. Our premise was that the series would feature domestic designers from across the generations, to make the picture of Polish design as complete as possible. […]
For the ninth edition of the Polish Designs Polish Designers series in 2023, we have invited Jakub SzczÄ™sny, a recognized architect and installation artist. This look at his work will allow us to show how fascinating things can be at the crossroads of architecture and design. The Keret House, known around the world and included in the permanent collection of New York’s MoMA, is presently on the list of Iconic Houses, alongside designs by Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Alvar Aalto; it will serve as a point of departure for exploring minimalism, simplicity, and limitations as essential values, both in society and design. The exhibition will also inspire us to discuss design in the city space, focusing on participatory actions and interaction, on building cooperation with its inhabitants.” - Gdynia City Museum From IMH
